Recommended Space Around the Trampoline

  • 2meters of clear space: To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, it’s important to have adequate space around your trampoline. For in-ground trampolines, we recommend leaving at least 2 meters of clear space around the perimeter. This helps prevent accidents and gives children ample room to safely run on and off the trampoline.
  • Avoid Hazards: Make sure the area around the trampoline is free of potential hazards like low brick walls or concrete fence posts. If necessary, add protective classing to any nearby obstacles to enhance safety.

Moving the In-Ground Trampoline
Moving your in-ground Oz Trampoline is straightforward. Simply lift the frame and retaining wall out of the ground, disassemble the trampoline, and remove the retaining wall panels. Once move, you can fill the hole back in to restore the area to its original state.

Basic Tools Required for Installation
For installation, you’ll need a spade, pick axe, wheelbarrow, and some elbow grease. Typically, it takes two people a fill day to dig a hole in average soil conditions.

Extra Helpful Tools
Consider renting an electric vibration dampened breaker from a local tool hire shop. Its affordable and simplifies the digging process significantly.

You may even want to hire a mini digger. Although please be mindful if you have never used a mini digger as it may be challenging to operate. You might want to opt for hire an experienced operator to ensure efficient and accurate work.

Drainage Considerations

  • Sandy Soil: If you have sandy soil, water will natural drain away, and drainage issues are less likely to be a concern.
  • Clay or Chalky Soil: In clay or chalky soil, rainwater can accumulate at the bottom of the hole. To address this, install a simple soak-away at the bade of the hole. This usually provides adequate drainage.
  • High Water Table: For areas prone to flooding or with a high-water table, consult a drainage expert. They may recommend creating drainage channels to direct water away from the trampoline site.
  • Test Drainage: If you are unsure about drainage conditions, dig a trial hole about 1 meter deep and observe for 24 hours to see if the water collects.
